American Friends of Yad Eliezer now partners with B'ezri
In an Israeli winter, often when the rain arrives, it doesn’t fall gently for long. Sometimes it comes all at once- steady and insistent, filling the streets in a matter of hours.
Over the past weeks, the thank-you notes for our winter coat distribution have been arriving in much the same way.
Each message is a reminder that behind every practical need is a family doing its best to hold everything together. Winter has a way of exposing gaps-not only in wardrobes, but in budgets already stretched thin by rising costs and everyday needs.
A coat is a simple thing. It can’t fix long-term financial strain or erase ongoing challenges. But it does something immediate and concrete. It allows a parent to redirect limited funds elsewhere. It removes one more worry from a crowded list. It means a child can go outside comfortably and without embarrassment, and a parent can breathe a little easier.
What stands out most in these letters is the acknowledgment that someone noticed a family’s need and provided help that came without fanfare, that it was given in a way that preserved dignity.
As the season continues, we are reminded that steady support matters just like steady rain. The streets may dry pretty quickly after a storm, but the impact of generous help lasts far longer.
We'd like to share just some of the countless thank you notes your Winter Warmth support has inspired:
To the organization B’ezri,
Shalom U’vracha,
We wanted to thank you for the coat donation, which in our case arrived at exactly the right time!
One of the girls’ coats was torn, and we were not able to buy her a new coat at beginning-of-season prices. For several days she went to kindergarten with a torn coat.
And just then the coat donation was publicized, and the child received a beautiful, high-quality, new coat that keeps her warm in the cold winter.
Thank you very much!!

We’d like to thank you for the assistance and for your activities in general, and especially for bringing great joy to our children with the coats-especially because they were new and beautiful! This helped us so much, particularly now.
We don’t take this for granted in these difficult times, when prices are soaring and the cost of living is rising beyond measure.
You are zoche to be shlichim of Hashem to fulfill His words: “There will be no poor among you” - may Hashem repay your deeds and may your schar be complete from Hashem!
With great thanks and appreciation,
Moshe and Golda L.

To the organization B’ezri,
We would like to express our great appreciation and say thank you!
Both for the distribution of coats and the distribution of winter blankets.
Baruch Hashem, we have a large family and the needs just grow. There is no doubt these distributions help very much with expenses, especially since this giving is done with dignity-meaning that when coming to take coats, one does not feel needy or degraded. On the contrary, you give the most comfortable and pleasant feeling to come and take.
In the merit of these deeds, may you and the honorable donors merit that the Hakadosh Baruch Hu repay you with your good schar and grant you all good, amen and amen.
We greatly appreciate it,
The Z. Family

To the organization B’ezri,
Hello!
This thank-you is being sent out with the hope that it reaches you.
That’s part of the beauty of your coat distribution- it comes at exactly the right time. Suddenly you realize one of the kids doesn’t have a proper coat, and buying one at this point in the season is especially expensive.
And not buying one ends up costing even more in other ways.
Then this wonderful gift arrives- a new coat, for whoever needs it, in exactly the right size.
It’s a good, high-quality coat that will last- and one the kids actually like wearing.
We really felt the heart behind this organization.
It’s hard to properly express our gratitude in writing but truly, thank you so much.
