Feed a baby today, soothe hunger and provide a better future
In Israel the price of baby formula is skyrocketing
There's a special needs daycare in Jerusalem.
In that daycare, a speech therapist noticed something about Tikvah, one of the babies, and contacted us.
"I'm wondering if you can help me. I work in a class of 10 babies with Down Syndrome. One of them, Tikvah, comes from a very poor family. She has 3 siblings who also have special needs and there are three other children at home. Tikvah has a mild heart condition.
Here's why I'm contacting you. Tikvah is a year old and weighs only 5 kg (11 pounds)! Her mother said they were feeding her oat milk everyday because of the high cost of formula. There is so much need in their home and they have no way to pay for it. Formula for Tikvah is critical - she needs proper nutrition so she can have a healthy diet and gain weight. Can you help?"
Tragically, Tikvah is not alone. She is one child in one gan.
Thousands of desperately poor families throughout Israel can't afford baby formula and panicked parents will do whatever they can to feed their infants. Sometimes that includes giving them substitutes, sometimes it means watering down an existing can of formula to make it stretch further, putting the baby's health at risk.
Your tzedaka donations to our Keren Eliyahu V'Esther Feed a Baby program will change that.
We provide needy parents with vouchers to purchase Materna baby formula tailored to their child's dietary needs
-This keeps little bellies full with the proper nutrients
-It prevents malnutrition-related problems now, and prevents serious medical issues down the line -It gives infants from needy homes improved chances of having more promising futures
The rise in costs of living and formula prices makes purchasing baby formula more difficult than ever before, for parents in need. We were able to help Tikvah, but there are so many hungry babies we still need to reach.

Thousands of families in Israel can barely afford food year-round, let alone the exorbitant prices of matza, wine, and chicken at Pesach time. We can change that.
