The Keren Almanos is one of our largest programs. Through it, we distribute monthly stipends to widows with children living at home, enabling them to provide for their families' daily needs with dignity. Each widow’s situation is carefully assessed to determine the amount of money she requires to complete her monthly budget. Funds are transferred directly into her bank account, sparing her any embarrassment or inconvenience.
In addition, we help Almanos with costs for children’s weddings. We step in when there is an emergency in the home such as an urgent medical expense or home repair. We provide added support to help them get through the summer months. And we are there for the Yomim Tovim, to alleviate holiday expenses. Single parent homes are especially struggling from the ever growing cost of living and we are trying our best to keep up with the need.
Our goal is to reach out to all struggling widows in Israel who are raising their yesomim. We want them to know that they can rely on our help, which is given with respect and sensitivity.
Currently there are 900 women in this Keren and we support them and their 6000+ children with vital funds, about $800 per Almana, per month! This aid makes a significant impact, stabilizing their homes stable and helping them live with self-respect.
Every donation makes a real difference and with your assistance, we can extend our reach to support additional families who are struggling.
Please help an Almana breathe a sigh of relief, thanks to your support!
The tragedies of October 7th have thrown countless lives into turmoil. Help us help IDF soldiers with vital equipment, displaced families with basic needs, struggling families in the south with necessities and others who are suffering.
If there's no money in the home to pay for food, there's no money to buy school supplies. We give kids-in-need the opportunity to buy new supplies, so they can start their school year off with dignity-just like everyone else.
We are here to anticipate the needs of victims' families, providing them with a shoulder to lean on while they try to make their way through this unimaginable crisis.
Chanukah is the holiday of light. And warmth. And joy. Bring all of those to families in need, through support that will also bring them invaluable relief.
