The Keren Almanos one of our largest programs. Through it, we distribute monthly stipends to widows with children living at home, enabling them to provide for their families with dignity. Each widow’s situation is carefully assessed to determine the amount of money she needs to complete her monthly budget. Funds are transferred directly into her bank account, sparing her any embarrassment or inconvenience.
In addition, the Keren Almanos assists widows with one-time expenses such as urgent dental care, bar mitzvahs & weddings for their children, medical treatments, emergencies and holidays, which are markedly expensive. Single parent homes are especially struggling from the ever growing cost of living and we are trying our best to keep up with the need.
Our goal is to reach out to all struggling widows in Israel who are raising their yesomim. We want them to know that they can rely on our help, which is given with respect and sensitivity.
Currently there are 890 women in this Keren and we support them and their 5600+ children with vital funds, about $800 per almana, per month! This aid makes a significant impact, stabilizing their homes stable and helping them live with self-respect.
Every donation makes a real difference and with your assistance, we can extend our reach to support additional families who are struggling.
Please help an Almana breathe a sigh of relief, thanks to your support!
Going hungry is a part of daily life for countless Israeli families.
Our Food Support program alleviates that hunger for parents and children throughout the country.
You can help.
We break the cycle of poverty by enabling individuals and families to become self-sufficient, giving them the skills they need to become productive in a trade or profession.
Help a bar mitzvah boy from a needy family celebrate his special milestone, with sponsorship of tefillin or a bar mitzvah package. Twinning with your loved one's bar mitzvah is a beautiful and meaningful way to commemorate your simcha.
Help needy families with food purchases in honor of the High Holidays. Together we can bring them a sense of celebration, making it a happier new year.
Thousands of families in Israel can barely afford food year-round, let alone the exorbitant prices of matza, wine, and chicken at Pesach time. We can change that.
