Who Remembers Struggling Families When School’s Out & the Pressure's On?

We do.

With summer break just around the corner, the worries of Israel’s struggling families are already in full swing. Once school's out the costs of even the most basic school-run day camps and childcare are unaffordable, leaving parents without reliable supervision for their children (plus the ability to go out to work). 

Expenses for food and utilities, which are already difficult to cover, increase sharply, especially with children stuck at home. Single mothers are on their own, trying to figure out how they will do it all on a limited income. For the second year in a row, war-impacted families throughout Israel (whether due to parental job loss, absence of fathers in miluim, residual displacement or numerous other factors) are dreading the summer, knowing there is an especially challenging season ahead of them. 

So once again American Friends of Yad Eliezer/B'ezri has launched our Summer Relief Campaign.

Summer is a season often forgotten when it comes to charitable giving-there are no major holidays to remind people that help is needed. But we not only remember, we actively work to ensure the costs of summer can be met for families in need. We know that this season, they are depending on us.

Join us in easing the pressure of the weeks ahead. Your support will provide for camp fees, giving children a safe place to spend their days, assist with household expenses to help parents breathe easier, and cover additional costs to provide much-needed relief to thousands of households under stress.
