The Gibber Family Minyan - an Astounding Success!

From pre-Yom Tov preparations to the final tefillos, it was an experience like no other

For the seventh year in a row, the Gibber family of Manhattan’s Upper West Side organized their annual Yom Kippur minyan at the Dan Panorama Hotel in Jerusalem to benefit American Friends of Yad Eliezer/B'ezri's High Holiday Campaign, generously covering the costs of the event and allowing funds raised to go directly toward the program.

This year, over 200 people came together for this unique experience centered around tefilla, community and chesed. With contributions and pledges still coming in, the minyan is expected to raise approximately $180,000 through seat reservations, aliyah pledges, and additional donations.

The Gibbers took care of every minyan detail, from coordinating seating plans and distributing machzorim and yahrzeit candles to organizing the break-fast meal. A professional men’s choir added a powerful and emotional layer to the davening, contributing to the special atmosphere throughout the day.
One attendee shared: “The minyan was absolutely beautiful. Thank you for such an uplifting experience!!!!”

This year, AFYE/B'ezri's High Holiday Campaign is distributing over $3 million in aid to more than 5,500 households across Israel, including:
2,300 needy IDF soldiers and families
2,400 needy families, including 350 divorced mothers
800+ almanos and their 6,000+ children

For the families receiving this support, the assistance makes it possible to approach Yom Tov with fewer financial worries and more of the simchas Yom Tov that every family deserves.
