B'ezri's Renowned Shavuot Distribution

Including dairy packages for 1,800 divorced mothers across Israel

In preparation for Shavuot, in addition to holiday aid for struggling families, American Friends of Yad Eliezer/B’ezri is once again distributing large, special-ordered insulated packages filled with dairy products through our Shavuot Distribution to 1,800 divorced mothers in 27 cities across Israel. Each package, valued at over 250 shekels, includes an assortment of cheeses and other Shavuot staples, helping struggling families celebrate with the traditional festive foods-including blintzes and cheesecake, of course, that everyone enjoys.

This year’s distribution comes at a time of financial stresses across the board such as high food prices - including an additional 1.4% increase in government-controlled dairy items. For single mothers already stretched to the limit, even a small price hike can mean going without. Navigating the challenges of raising children alone, these packages offer critical support, bringing joy, stability and the feeling of normality to their homes.

As always, our donors are key to helping us make a difference to thousands of thankful families who would otherwise struggle through Shavuot alone, and without the Yom Tov meals they know other families will be sitting down to. Donor generosity changes the story, ensuring these mothers and children can experience the holiday feeling stable, cared for, and maybe for once, "just like everyone else".
