They Have Arrived!

Thousands of coats are here and being readied for distribution

The timing couldn't be better: American Friends of Yad Eliezer | B'ezri's coat order for our Winter Warmth Campaign has arrived just as the weather is starting to turn and is being readied at our Yesodot warehouse for distribution. Twenty two thousand coats, specially ordered months ago, are currently being sorted and organized, and will begin shipping to 40 towns, cities and communities throughout the country (plus 28 distribution points in Jerusalem alone!) for young women and children this week.

Gabbei tzedaka (community representatives), with whom we work in each location, are coordinating their distributions with us to ensure they are carried out as efficiently as possible. The gabbaim are always enthusiastic about this project as it brings members of their communities tremendous relief. One gabbai commented, "I'm remembering back to six months ago, when I spoke to American Friends of Yad Eliezer|B'ezri and you mentioned that b'ezrat Hashem there will be coats for the winter. As it was summer, it was warm then, and it also warmed the heart to know that you were thinking ahead to the winter. Well, now it's here and we are grateful for this assistance-may you be blessed from Shamayim!"
