These programs will bring relief

Skyrocketing food prices and cost of living expenses continue to put significant pressure on families throughout Israel, especially struggling families who were barely scraping by before the economy took its current downturn. And with the Yamim Noraim rapidly approaching the pressure is even worse. The myriad Tishrei holiday expenses, including overwhelming food costs, place families in a bind, preventing them from shopping freely for products needed to make traditional, festive meals in their homes, foods that give them the feeling of Yom Tov.

American Friends of Yad Eliezer | B'ezri's holiday programs will help these families with food purchases, to ensure their Yomim Tovim can be celebrated with full tables. Our High Holiday Campaign provides over a million dollars in funds to thousands of hungry families throughout the country for use at neighborhood supermarkets, enabling them to buy the foods their families enjoy. Our IDF High Holiday Campaign distributes half a million dollars in aid to over three thousand needy IDF soldiers (including lone soldiers and others with families), via gift cards to use at large food chains. 

Both programs give families an invaluable feeling of dignity as they walk into the store and fill shopping carts just like everyone else. Even better is their feeling of dignity as they sit down to holiday meals with kavod and relief, making positive Yom Tov memories that their families will cherish.
