Our Order Has Been Placed: 20,000 Winter Coats

It may be the start of spring, but we're already prepared for next winter!

American Friends of Yad Eliezer is well known as one of the most effective Jewish charities for the poor in Israel, and for good reason. Our thorough, prudent planning, combined with our low overhead (4%) ensure we can bring needy families the most aid, in the most useful ways, via every dollar donated. Case in point: despite the fact that spring has only just begun, we've already placed our coat order for our 2023 Winter Warmth Campaign. And it's our biggest order yet: 20,000 brand new, thick, quality, stylish coats that will transform the winter for 6,000 young women, 7,000 boys and 7,000 girls from struggling homes throughout the country.

Ordering this far in advance of the wintry weather gets us the best prices for custom designed coats that are of the highest quality. It also assures that our overseas shipment arrives and countrywide distributions can begin before the cold sets in, saving families any discomfort that winter's frigid temperatures bring.

Our Winter Warmth Campaign is a lifesaver for the needy. Year after year, parents and distribution coordinators alike are astounded at the high level of quality of the coats we provide, which bring invaluable warmth and relief to the young women and children who receive them. "We heard about a coat distribution for our two children and thought, 'Is it worth it to go there? Likely they'll be used...shmattes... ' My wife came home and said it was like a store!
