The $5,000 donation, made to Yad Eliezer in loving memory of longtime Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles' colleague and friend, Fay Althausen, z"l, will enable Israel's neediest families to purchase food and celebrate the chagim with dignity.
Holiday necessities can be expensive even for the average family, but for those living in poverty, the costs are completely out of reach. This grant will impact the holidays for so many, transforming empty tables to full - and happy - ones.
