Chesed in Real Time

A powerful new way to help

American Friends of Yad Eliezer/B'ezri recently launched Chesed in Real Time, a Whatsapp group created to respond immediately to emergency, costly needs beyond the usual scope of our 15+ programs. The response has been nothing short of extraordinary. In just a few weeks, more than 250 members joined, raising over $22,000 to support six critical cases.

Families assisted include a bar mitzvah boy battling cancer, a household recovering from a devastating fire, and a large family confronting a heartbreaking diagnosis. Chesed in Real Time stepped in for an orphan struggling with severe dental issues, a family facing electricity cut off at the height of winter and parents in need of assistance for an emergency trip abroad to help their critically ill son. Funds, raised on average in less than 2 hours each, provided each family with timely care and invaluable relief. This growing community proves the power of collective compassion, coming together quickly to make a real difference when it matters most.
