American Friends of Yad Eliezer now partners with B'ezri
The Gibber family, of Manhattan’s Upper West Side, have outdone themselves. They once again brought meaning and impact to the High Holidays by organizing an unforgettable Yom Kippur minyan at the Dan Panorama Hotel in Jerusalem. But this year's minyan was the largest since the start of this annual tradition-over 400 people were in attendance. Generous support for AFYE/B’ezri’s High Holiday Campaign was raised- and contributions are still coming in.
Staying true to their chesed reputation, the Gibber family ensured the minyan was impactful in all respects. A professional men’s choir was brought in, adding a powerful and emotional layer to the davening. From coordinating seating plans to distributing machzorim and yahrzeit candles to organizing the break-fast meal and everything in between, the family took care of each detail to make the experience smooth, meaningful, and deeply personal for all attendees who traveled in specifically from the U.S. and across the world. The largest contingent hailed from the New York tri-state area.
In an extraordinary act of giving, the Gibbers generously covered costs of the event, donating funds raised from seat reservations, aliyah pledges, and additional contributions to AFYE/B'ezri's annual High Holiday Campaign. The program is distributing over $3.5 million in aid to more than 7,700 families across Israel including-
3,360 struggling IDF soldiers and families
3,500 impoverished households, among them 800 single mothers
850+ almanos and their 6000+ children
Thanks to the generosity of the Gibber family and AFYE/B'ezri’s other devoted friends and supporters, these families can experience simchas Yom Tov without the shadow of financial hardship.
AFYE/B'ezri once again extends our heartfelt gratitude to the Gibber family for this beautiful initiative, their unwavering annual support and impactful philanthropy. The minyan was not only uplifting, it was also a powerful expression of chesed and achdus - a true highlight of the High Holiday season.
