Our Coats Are Coming Together

As we speak, AFYE/B’ezri’s Winter Warmth order is being manufactured- stitch by stitch, coat by coat, ready to bring comfort and dignity to thousands of struggling Israeli families this winter. 

Every year, our Winter Warmth Campaign provides new coats and blankets to struggling families, for whom basic winter items are often considered luxuries. Without them, children suffer through the harsh winter having to share coats or passing the months wearing multiple sweaters or old, worn, ill fitting coats instead of a proper one. By supplying durable, stylish coats and thick blankets to families throughout Israel, the campaign helps families stay warm while easing financial burdens and preserving dignity.

This year’s Winter Warmth order includes:

• 9,116 coats for girls
• 8,400 coats for boys
• 7,500 coats for teenagers and women
• 12,000 thick blankets

Items will be distributed nationwide, with a focus on communities in the north and south especially affected by the ongoing war. Thanks to careful planning, top-quality overseas manufacturing, and generous donor support, these coats and blankets will provide warmth for years, sometimes passing from one sibling to the next, a great savings for families who must watch every shekel.

It won’t be long now. With the High Holidays rapidly approaching, winter weather won’t be far behind. Our order is coming together and being readied for shipment, ready to bring families the relief they need.
