American Friends of Yad Eliezer now partners with B'ezri
-2,800 needy families and 500 single mothers in homes throughout Israel
-850 almanos and their 6,000+ children with their monthly stipends and an additional holiday stipend
-4,230 IDF soldiers in need, with families and without
All of the above are receiving aid for Yom Tov (a total of $3.2 million!) through our High Holiday campaign, ensuring their financial challenges don’t interfere with their ability to celebrate the holidays more comfortably and respectfuly-with their necessities met and with less worry about expenses.
And now, American Friends of Yad Eliezer/B’ezri is doing even more.
With all the upheaval in Israel’s north, our campaign is expanding further. We are also assisting 270 families in Carmiel, Tzfat, Haifa and Teveria with 1000 NIS each for the holidays. Under constant stress and strain due to rocket fire, families are struggling in multiple ways. They’re dealing with the trauma of war including constant sirens and dashes to bomb shelters, job losses, business closures and other issues affecting their emotional and financial stablilty. Retaining a feeling of security and normality during this trying time is extremely difficult, but Yom Tov still approaches and families need help getting ready. Thankfully we are there with support to lighten their load. This aid is really making a difference.
"Thank you for this help-it is simply like giving us 'air to breathe'. In a situation like this, when we are trying to keep everyone safely at home and give the family everything needed for the chag, it really helps us and gives us a sense of calm."
There is still time to donate to our High Holiday campaign and help us make it a better Yom Tov for families in need. Join us!
