Your tzedaka will make all the difference for a needy Kallah

The mitzvah of Hachnosas Kallah (helping a needy bride prepare for her wedding) is extremely special. It is written into the morning tefilla (prayers), and we mention it every day, with the belief that it serves as a merit in this world and in the World to Come. Tradition holds that providing for a bride-in-need is also a beautiful merit for finding one’s spouse.

With numerous requests for wedding assistance coming into our office on a daily basis, we understand first-hand how special - and crucial - Hachnosas Kallah is, for needy families. We hear the pain in parents’ voices and see it on their faces as they describe their challenges, just trying to make it through each day with basic necessities such as food, utilities or a simple pair of glasses. Getting their child ready for their simcha, whether by purchasing home goods, new clothing, appliances or covering expenses for the wedding itself, is simply unimaginable.

We also speak to brides who come from impoverished homes and/or who have suffered the loss of a parent. They, too, are in tremendous pain. At a time when they should be excitedly planning for one of their happiest milestones, they are despondent - knowing all too well that they can’t possibly afford wedding expenses of any kind. They are alone, with nowhere to turn for help.

But we are there for them, and you can be too.

Provide a bride-in-need with vouchers to use at our partner home goods store, so she can purchase new linens, cookware and other necessities for setting up her home.

Relieve an orphaned bride's anxiety through sponsorship of new appliances for her kitchen-something she could never dream of acquiring on her own.

Donate to cover a kallah's wedding costs so she can walk down to her chuppah with a lighter heart.
